Fees & Rebates

Consultation Fees

Mike offers a tiered fee structure per standard 50 minute session.

Standard consultation: $305

Concession: $255

(Concession fees are available for holders of pension or health care cards)

Rebates

A Medicare rebate is available on eligible sessions for clients with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). This rebate is $141.84 from 1 July 2024.

Gap payable: Standard consultation: $163.16

Concession: $113.16

Under the current Medicare rebate scheme, clients are eligible to receive up to 10 sessions under a MHCP per calendar year.

The number of sessions you are eligible for is determined by your referring practitioner. Clients wishing to utilise the Medicare Rebate need to have a MHCP and be referred by a GP or Psychiatrist.

Alternatively, you may be able to claim a rebate through your private health fund. Please check with the fund to confirm any rebates available to you.

Payment

Payment is required at the end of your consultation and may be made using EFTPOS or credit card, as well as by cash.

A HICAPS merchant facility is available to allow clients to claim their Medicare rebate at the time of payment.

Psychological Reports

Psychological reports are charged according to the APS Schedule of Fees and Charges, and attract a GST component.

Cancellation policy

Your appointment time has been reserved especially for you. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel an appointment. A fee may be charged if you do not provide notice that you are unable to attend your appointment. If insufficient time is provided, and the appointment time cannot be reallocated, you may be charged for part or all of the session fee.
